The MJS Packaging team is excited to announce that we will be co-hosting our first nutraceutical webinar with Enercon Industries. You are invited to join us as we discuss nutraceutical products and how packaging plays a vital part in this booming industry. “Nutraceutical Packaging Tips & Trends for Caps & Sealing” will take place on Thursday, October 29th at 10 a.m. CDT. This will be a joint presentation from the team at Enercon and Owen Schmidt from MJS Packaging.

The Nutraceutical Industry

Nutraceuticals are products derived from food sources such as health supplements and vitamins that hold nutritional value but are also used as medicine. Even before COVID-19, the supplement market was expected to surpass $50B in sales. This shows consumers’ focus has shifted toward the health and wellness market for some time now, and the numbers continue to grow.

Demand has only increased in light of the pandemic and the increase in health awareness. This has resulted in an increased surge in consumers looking to increase their health and immunity with nutraceutical products.

Why is Nutraceutical Packaging Important

Nutraceutical products come in all different forms, from solids or gummies to liquids and powders. All of these formulations require their own type of packaging and guidelines. This can present challenges for manufacturers, especially when a significant portion of consumers are purchasing their nutraceuticals online and having them delivered.

This webinar will provide guidance on the most reliable and cost-effective technologies for nutraceutical manufacturers to ensure their products are packaged correctly for consumers to purchase. The webinar will also focus on and provide information on the below topics:

  • Tips for sealing liquids, powders, and solids
  • Considerations for child-resistant and flip-top closures vs. traditional use of continuous thread closures
  • When to use vented liners for both liquid and solid formulations
  • Adding versatility to your sealing operation
  • Inspections for basic and advanced lines

The nutraceutical industry is attracting many new consumers, and manufacturers need to make sure their products are sealed correctly. With so many nutraceutical products being sold via ecommerce, packaging for these products is more critical than ever.
