Marking our 140th Anniversary milestone could not be complete without reflecting on some of our favorite memories here at MJS Packaging. Let’s look back at some of the fun moments our team members have shared together.

ONCE UPON A TIME

We asked our present-day team members to step back in time, whether it was long ago or fairly recent, and come up with some special thoughts and photos that really meant a lot to them. Let’s kick things off with Account Specialist Joyce Schaffer, who has been with us for 25 wonderful years.

Joyce shared some fabulous throwback photos which highlight “the good old days.” Many employees have fond memories of our 125th Anniversary celebration. Joyce describes it as the “packaging version of the Oscars! It was an incredible, unforgettable night!”

MJS PACKAGING LIFE

What is a typical day like at MJS Packaging? Showing up first for our customers, and having fun while we do it. We make an effort to bond as a team, whether it’s at the office, on a video call, or at conferences and celebrations. Our departments have annual team-building events, which include everything from volunteer work, to virtual golf and Detroit Tigers games.

Inventory Coordinator Monia Schembri is excited to share many photos. “From day-to-day work to company-wide events and social gatherings, I’ve had the privilege of meeting some of the most incredible people— people who are friends, and in many ways, family.”

IN THE COMMUNITY

Getting involved in the community is central to what we do, as Community is a core value here at MJS Packaging. We are a lead partner of Ronald McDonald House Charities, volunteering our time and contributing donations to support their cause.

Director of Marketing Cindy Vogel states that some of her favorite memories are from times we’ve spent volunteering or otherwise involved with our community partners. “The work they do is amazing, and I’m so glad MJS Packaging plays a role in helping families.”

FROM THE TOP DOWN

We give credit to our Board of Directors, Executive team, and Leadership team for building and fostering growth with a great group of people. Their wisdom, guidance, and direction help us prosper and succeed.

Senior VP Ken Goldberg’s memory photos show how our time spent together helps cement our bond. Whether it’s a meeting, dinner, or team-building experience, we value each moment we get to connect and learn a little more about each other.

A CULTURE OF CONNECTION

Operations Manager Kathi Watkins shares that our Annual Distribution Sales Meeting “was an amazing time to connect with my MJS family!” Connecting with our coworkers on the golf course and having valuable conversations with our manufacturing partners is both fruitful and fun!

Our culture of connection is evident in how we work with each other, our partners, and our customers— relationships matter. We enjoy each chance to network with our industry colleagues and sponsor a customer’s golf outing.
