After perfecting their recipes and applying for federal license approval, Doc Howard’s Distillery needed to take the next steps to find the right spirits packaging. As a new, family-owned micro-distillery, they were looking for a partner who had options for their low volume project and one who would show interest in its success. Thankfully, our very own Greg Clarke helped the Howard family feel right at home with MJS Packaging.

Our Approach

We have spirits packaging to help any distillery. From finding good customer service to putting the right finishing touches on a bottle, we know the pursuit of packaging can be a challenge for a micro-distillery. Because of this, we took pride in demonstrating our commitment to getting Doc Howard’s Distillery started on the right track and giving them several reasons to rely on our expertise.

Accessibility. Doc Howard’s Distillery explored working with other packaging firms, but found themselves quickly dismissed because of their minimums. When they came across MJS Packaging’s website, however, they could access a great deal of information, see product options, and get in touch quickly with someone who could help them.

They were especially thankful to get in touch with Greg Clarke because he showed a genuine interest in understanding their needs.

Distillery Experience. Our prior work with other start-up distilleries helped us to understand the challenges the Howard family faced. We worked tirelessly to identify the best spirits packaging options while also delivering outstanding customer service, finding cost-effective solutions, and streamlining the supply chain.

Superior Selection and Options. Doc Howard’s Distillery could count on MJS Packaging for each component they needed.  Whether it was the bottles, closures, labels, or shrink bands, they enjoyed the convenience of a one-stop shopping experience.

Even when some options seemed a little out of reach, we helped them identify cost-effective alternatives, closures, and label design firms to get the most from their spirits packaging.

Local Sourcing Options. Sourcing from local partners was an important part of Doc Howard’s business model. With their location in Perry, Ohio, they were attracted to MJS Packaging’s headquarters in the Midwest and appreciated our approach to helping them consider local packaging options.
