PET Bottles

The PET bottle has largely replaced the glass bottle for a host of products, but majorly in the water and beverage industry. Polyethylene terephthalate, to give it its full name, comes from the polyester family and is a synthetic polymer resin that is similar to plastic in many aspects and belongs to the plastic family. It is a food grade plastic that can be recycled into fiber for carpets, fiberfill for cushions, pillows and winter clothing, clam shell packing, door panels and many automotive parts.

Safety aspect of PET

PET bottles do not contain BPA which is a health concern in many plastic products. Thus PET bottles are also used as baby bottles, some of which may be ready to serve infant milks. While PET bottles are available readymade in various sizes, the bottles can also be easily customized and given different and fancy shapes via injection stretch blow molding. These bottles are usually made of virgin PET as it can be easily recycled, though you can also get bottles that are made of recycled PET. Most often the PET bottle is used as a single use beverage bottle. Among the advantages of this material are:
